Life is full of challenges. In fact, sometimes it seems as though there’s one around every corner. And if we’re not paying attention, it’s easy to be so distracted by these issues that a myriad of opportunities to accomplish the unthinkable might pass us by.

This year’s keynote speaker at our fifth annual Learn To Earn Agent Sales Summit was undoubtedly the most motivating we’ve ever had, and used his message to remind us to keep moving forward finding meaning and purpose in our lives, even in the face of our worst adversity.

Kyle Maynard, born a congenital quadruple amputee, opened the event in front of more than 190 agents, insurance company personnel and vendors with a challenge to change one big thing in our lives holding us back from achieving our greatest potential. A champion wrestler, the first man to crawl on his own to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro and an inspiration to everyone whose lives he touches, Kyle himself continues to live that motto and reach for his “why.” You can watch Kyle’s presentation below.

Following Kyle’s speech, our agents then utilized the remainder of this three-day agents-teaching-agents conference to move closer to that goal while helping generations of Americans retire more comfortably and confidently. A dozen speakers shared insight on a variety of marketing and practice management challenges agents face, from generating quality referrals and communicating with clients through social media to targeting niche markets and closing business more successfully. In between sessions, there was plenty of time to network over coffee, lunch and dinner to expand the learning process in a more intimate setting. When all was said and done, we received resounding confirmation that this event was the best yet. More importantly, agents left more motivated than ever to celebrate how far they’ve come and set their sights on something even bigger in the years ahead.
