Balanced Allocation Strategy Changes

Effective June 1, 2014 Nationwide will be making changes to the Balanced Allocation Strategy (BAS) for any new issued New Heights Fixed Indexed Annuity contracts. For some BAS options the Strategy Spread is being increased, and for other BAS options the Equity Indexed Allocation is being decreased.

Ratelock Procedures for New Heights

In order to receive the currently offered BAS attributes (those in effect prior to June 1, 2014) an application and all associated forms must be signed prior to June 1, 2014. Money must also be received within 30 calendar days.

The day the application is signed counts as the first business day. Any application signed on or after June 1, 2014will receive the new BAS attributes.

The New Heights illustration tool will be updated June 1, 2014.

 Updated Rate Sheets

Links to the updated New Heights rate sheets are included below. The updates include rate changes and state approvals. These states and rate sheets will be effective June 1.
